Tender summary
Effective immediately If the bid submission exceeds $500k, all awarded contractors/vendors will be required to submit a digital Labour and Material Bonds and Performance Bonds using Form 31 (Labour and Material Bond) and Form 32 (Performance Bond) include HST. TDSB will only accept digital bonds. Closes July 3, 2026. Good fit if you have financial contract experience.
Key requirements
- Digital Labour and Material Bond (Form 31) required if bid exceeds $500,000
- Digital Performance Bond (Form 32) required if bid exceeds $500,000
- Bond amounts must include HST
- Only digital bonds accepted; must be sent to the Contract Specialist
- Project schedule must be submitted to TDSB immediately upon contract award
- Substantial completion required by December 18, 2026
- Price breakdown of Base Bid must be submitted within 5 business days if requested by Contract Specialist after closing
- Installation Floater insurance required (if applicable) covering supplies and equipment
Special conditions
- Work affecting school operations must be carried out after hours or on weekends in accordance with city by-law
- Non-destructive work may be performed during regular school hours
- Contract Specialist (Vicki Kostopoulos) must receive all digital bonds directly
- Purchasing Department may at sole discretion request a complete price breakdown from the unofficial low bidder(s) after closing
What disqualifies a bid
- Failure to submit digital bonds (Forms 31 and 32) when bid exceeds $500,000
- Submission of non-digital (paper) bonds
- Failure to provide a complete price breakdown within 5 business days of request from Contract Specialist
