Tender summary
Construction/renovation project at a Toronto District School Board (TDSB) facility involving non-destructive work and potential hazardous materials abatement, to be substantially completed by October 31, 2026. Key requirements

- Contractor responsible for safe removal and disposal of hazardous materials per DSS Report recommendations
- No abatement work without proper notification and coordination with Project Supervisor, Environmental Consultant, and Principal/Head Caretaker
- Installation Floater insurance covering supplies and equipment for the project
- Price breakdown of Base Bid Price must be submitted within 5 business days if requested by Contract Specialist
Special conditions
- Work affecting school operations must be carried out after hours or on weekends in accordance with city by-law
- Non-destructive work may be performed during regular hours
- Hazardous materials handling must follow DSS Report recommendations at minimum
- Abatement work requires coordination with Project Supervisor, Environmental Consultant, and Principal/Head Caretaker
- TDSB will only accept digital bonds — no paper bonds accepted
- Contract Specialist (Leana Castillo) must receive digital bonds directly
What disqualifies a bid
- Failure to submit digital bonds (Form 31 and Form 32) when bid exceeds $500,000
- Submission of paper/non-digital bonds
- Failure to provide complete Base Bid Price breakdown within 5 business days of request
