Supply of a Twin Agent Unit (TAU), a dual-agent firefighting system for aviation rescue and recovery operations aboard a naval vessel, combining Purple-K dry chemical and non-fluorinated foam (F3) delivered via a dual hose and nozzle system. The system must be self-contained, operable by a single operator, and fitted with two independent hose reel stations within RCD design constraints.
Key requirements
- System must combine Purple-K dry chemical with a non-fluorinated foam (F3)
- Must replace legacy AFFF (Aqueous Film-Forming Foam)
- Must use a dual hose and nozzle delivery system
- Must be a fully self-contained standalone system
- Must not rely on ship's services for operation
- Must support simultaneous discharge of both agents by a single operator
- Must be equipped with two independent hose reel stations
- One hose reel station must be located forward in the hangar
- One hose reel station must be located aft below the flight deck
- Must be sized and configured to operate within RCD design constraints
- Must meet all performance thresholds specified
Special conditions
- System must be designed for aviation rescue and recovery (shipboard/maritime environment)
- Must conform to RCD (Render Safe/Combat/Design) design constraints
- System must be standalone and independent of ship's services (power, water, etc.)
- Must use non-fluorinated foam (F3) — AFFF or fluorinated agents are not acceptable
