Tender summary
Provide on-site Standard First Aid and CPR (levels A & C) with AED certification training courses to groups of offenders at federal correctional institutions in New Brunswick (Dorchester Complex and Atlantic Institution) and Nova Scotia (Springhill Institution and Nova Institution for Women). Services are provided on an as-and-when-requested basis from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 with two optional one-year renewals.
Key requirements
- Must be a Canadian supplier
- Must provide third party certification in Standard First Aid and CPR levels A & C with AED
- Must provide sufficient instructors to facilitate training at each contracted location
- Must supply all training materials including manuals, handouts, protective equipment, and cleaning supplies for equipment
- Must deliver all materials and equipment to location prior to course start
- Must provide list of successful participants to the Designated Manager
- Must provide copies of certificates for successful participants within 21 days of course completion
- Must provide dates, location, number of participants to Designated Manager within 21 days of course completion
- Must perform all work in English for Nova Scotia sites
- Must perform all work in English and French at New Brunswick sites as requested
- Contractor resources must be able to communicate orally and in writing in English, French, or both without assistance and with minimal errors
- Must meet security requirements as specified in the contract
Special conditions
- Contract includes security requirements (specific details in solicitation document)
- Work to be performed in English for Nova Scotia sites and in English and French for New Brunswick sites
- Training is delivered to offenders (incarcerated individuals) at federal correctional institutions
- Up to two separate contracts may be awarded: one for Region A (New Brunswick) and one for Region B (Nova Scotia)
- Bidders may bid on one or both regions
- This procurement is not subject to any trade agreements
