Tender summary
Construction or renovation project at a Toronto District School Board (TDSB) facility, to be started as soon as possible upon contract award and substantially completed by October 30, 2026. Work must be scheduled to minimize disruption to school operations.
Key requirements
- Digital Labour and Material Bond (Form 31) required if bid exceeds $500,000
- Digital Performance Bond (Form 32) required if bid exceeds $500,000
- Bonds must include HST and be submitted digitally to the Contract Specialist
- Project schedule must be submitted immediately upon contract award
- Substantial completion by October 30, 2026
- Non-destructive work must be performed during regular hours
- Work affecting school operations must be carried out after hours or on weekends in accordance with city by-law
- If requested by Contract Specialist post-closing, complete price breakdown of Base Bid Price must be submitted within 5 business days
- Installation Floater insurance must provide sufficient coverage for supplies and equipment if applicable
Special conditions
- Work affecting school operations must be performed after hours or on weekends per city by-law
- TDSB will only accept digital bonds — no paper bonds accepted
- Contract Specialist (Janelle Marshall) may request a full price breakdown from the unofficial low bidder(s) after closing at sole discretion of the Purchasing Department
What disqualifies a bid
- Failure to submit complete price breakdown within 5 business days of request from Contract Specialist may render bid non-compliant
- Submission of paper (non-digital) bonds will not be accepted
- Failure to submit required digital bonds (Forms 31 and 32) for bids exceeding $500,000
