Tender summary

Scope of Work/Overview: Assess adequacy of fire separations and fire stopping in the building in comparison with the National Building Code and determine and identify any area within the fire separations that require modifications to comply with the current NBC. Areas that are considered fire separations include, but not limited to fire dampers, corridors, exit stairwells, service rooms/spaces, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, boiler rooms, elevator shafts and janitor closets.

Key requirements

• Ability to assess fire separations and fire stopping against National Building Code (NBC) requirements
• Knowledge of NBC fire separation standards including fire dampers, corridors, exit stairwells, service rooms/spaces, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, boiler rooms, elevator shafts, and janitor closets

Special conditions

• Assessment must reference current National Building Code (NBC) standards
• Scope includes but is not limited to: fire dampers, corridors, exit stairwells, service rooms/spaces, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, boiler rooms, elevator shafts, and janitor closets
