• Ability to ship refrigerated perishable items in thermally insulated containers with ice packs

• Compliance with applicable shipping regulations for food items including frozen and refrigerated goods
• Ability to purchase all required shipping, packaging, and labelling supplies
• Ability to collect food samples in accordance with Health Canada's detailed shopping instructions
• Ability to maintain detailed records of purchases and shipping expenses and submit documentation for reimbursement
• Ability to ship all samples to Ottawa from Calgary

Special conditions

• This is a Request for Information (RFI) only, not a solicitation for contract award
• Four different brands or store locations must be collected for each food item to ensure variety
• Foods must be collected in autumn 2026
• Food integrity must be preserved throughout packaging and shipping
• Cross-contamination between food items must be prevented during packaging and shipping

What disqualifies a bid

• Inability to operate in Calgary, Alberta
• Inability to comply with applicable shipping regulations for perishable and frozen goods
• Inability to ship to Ottawa
