Inspection, Testing, Maintenance, and Minor Repair of HVAC and chiller mechanical systems (condensing units, air handling units, exhaust fans, and chillers) at CFB Kingston facilities including Royal Military College, Fort Frontenac, and Kingston and Brockville Armouries. Services include scheduled preventive maintenance, seasonal start-up/shutdown, refrigerant management, control system verification, condition reporting, and emergency response support.
Key requirements
- Must hold or obtain Facility Security Clearance (FSC) prior to contract award
- Must be eligible and able to perform ITM and minor repair services on HVAC and chiller mechanical systems
- Must be capable of working on Daikin, Smardt, Trane, and McQuay brand chillers
- Must perform work in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, applicable codes, environmental regulations, and industry best practices
- Must provide emergency response support capability
Special conditions
- Facility Security Clearance (FSC) required — bidders without clearance must initiate sponsorship process through DCC's Industrial Security Program (ISP) immediately
- Contract is subject to DND approval to proceed
- Security clearance sponsorship request must reference APN number, Contract number 85856, and level of clearance requested
- Military base access — work performed at CFB Kingston, a federal defence installation
- Anticipated solicitation posting July 2026 — this is an advance notice only, not a solicitation
